Transistors – Your life could be so easy

The Transistors show how your life could be so easy, using the just-add water, spray-on, wipe-off approach to cleaning up your flat – and your act. Plus there’s a little of the old climb out of the tv trick.
From Rangiora, the band is on Arch Hill Records.

Little Lapin – Magnet Eyes

I don’t know about you, but I hear a little Bonnie Tyler in this track. I could be trying to hard though. Whoever you hear, there’s a nice dynamic in Magent Eyes – quiet yet relentless beat, subtle drone bass, warmth and fragility in the singing. Great phrasing too.

If you wanted to give an artist a break, you could buy it for a buck on bandcamp…

I know i’m not good for you; i’m not good for me either
i’m running out of steam but i’m a survivor
i know it’s not your fault; what you were given
they’ve put me in a hole but given me a pulse

your magnet eyes
it’s so hard to leave when you’ve got magnet eyes

I’m on a losing streak with love and loathing
i’m trying to find my feet and keep them on the ground
i know it’s not your fault; what you were given
they’ve put me in a hole but given me a pulse

your magnet eyes
it’s so hard to leave when you’ve got magnet eyes

It’s getting harder now
it’s so hard to leave
when you’ve got magnet eyes

Opposite Sex – Supermarket

Opposite Sex are one of the bands featured on new Fishrider Records compilation T E M P O R A R Y. Supermarket is a quirky track with an angular melody, and plenty of bite in the lyrics. Nice artwork too.
