Tama Waipara makes really interesting music – and here’s two examples. Soviet Snow was originally recorded by Shona Laing in the 1980s, and this version is a tom-drum driven with some big synth wash and great, driving bass. It was recorded for a Kiwi FM session.
The Hunter is another great song – great lyrics, interesting (and difficult) timing, and plenty of surprises. This version was recorded for a bFM session.
