For Ian.

Pencil and ink drawings created using my father’s now antique technical drawing set. A cinquefoil is a group of circles inscribed around the points of a pentagon, which is inside a circle. The technique was often used in Gothic architecture for window designs.

Working with pencil and ink made it interesting – getting thicker lines meant more ink – and more chance that I’d drop a huge dollop of it in the middle of the work.
